With Feux, Thomas Julienne and Theorem of Joy deliver a bold and poetic vision of jazz. Through nine compositions, the album maps a sonic landscape where each note explores the doubts and hopes shaping our time.
Driven by precise composition and rare sensitivity, this work invites listeners on an introspective journey through time, weaving between different realities and experiences. Feux redefines the relationship between music and introspection, transcending genres while remaining rooted in a contemporary jazz vision. The quintet draws from the melismatic expressions of Indian music, classical resonances, post-rock textures, and electronic soundscapes, with an approach that remains deeply organic. Each piece offers a unique emotional journey—intimate and powerful.
ℹ️ Opening Act: Enjoy a performance by students from the Jazz Workshop of the Bordeaux Conservatory (Conservatoire de Bordeaux – Jacques Thibaud).
