Following the release of their third album, Feux — unanimously acclaimed by the French and international press — Theorem of Joy makes its long-awaited return to Paris at Sunset Sunside on Friday, June 5, 2026.
Led by double bassist and composer Thomas Julienne, the group continues its search for a music without borders: a cinematic echo of our inner worlds, a music that brushes the soul’s most delicate strings, blending jazz, electronic textures, and influences from around the globe.
Named Jazz Album of the Year by Paris Move, singled out as a favorite by Radio France, and praised by Jazz Magazine for “its richness and its light,” Feux has resonated far beyond French borders, reaching the airwaves of FIP and drawing critical attention from the United Kingdom, Canada, and China.
This concert will mark a new chapter for the band with the arrival of Laura Kipp, a German singer with a magnetic voice and a striking stage presence, who joins the group for this new tour.
After more than one hundred concerts in France and abroad (Montreux Jazz Festival China, Blue Note Beijing, Fira B! Spain, among others), Theorem of Joy promises a luminous, vibrant evening shaped by refinement, intensity, and shared emotion.
